Myrtle Two suspects were detained for allegedly inflicting physical violence on a female doctor at the City Training and Research Hospital.
Allegedly, doctor Tuğba Karakaş, who worked as a gynecology and obstetrician in the hospital, entered the room while ZT and SV were examining patients in the polyclinic.
There was an argument between the 2 people and the paramedics, who the nurse asked to leave the room because they violated the “patient privacy”.
During the discussion, ZT and the woman next to him, SV, attacked doctor Tuğba Karakaş.
The suspects, who were removed by the hospital’s security guards, were taken into custody by the police teams upon the doctor’s “white code” notification.
“LEGAL PROCESS IS FOLLOWED CLOSELY”
In the written statement made by the Provincial Health Directorate regarding the incident, the following statements were included:
“Our colleague was subjected to physical violence by another patient and his relative who entered the room while he was doing the examination. Our hospital security and law enforcement officers intervened immediately, ‘code-white’ procedures were initiated, the attackers were detained. The legal process is closely followed by our Ministry. We condemn it and wish the violence in health to end.”
